Part One: Lola Skye

 In putting together this blog, I spoke to over two dozen of Annie's friends from all sorts of different friend groups but their stories were all the same. They talked of a person who was a complete narcissist, who wasn't happy unless she was the center of attention, who would throw fits over the smallest things in order to achieve that. A master manipulator, who treated people like objects to use, control, and discard. Someone who was always in a state of crisis, a victim of something or someone, who told the most absurd, elaborate lies, about anything and everything. They slowly began to piece together her lies and see her for who she really was. Some of her former friends have been very hurt by Annie and are seeking therapy. Some are frightened of her, insisting she's dangerous. Many of the stories I heard were too personal to share but they made me feel sick to hear. Annie is a sociopath and hopefully this blog will help the few remaining people under Annie's spell to wake up.

Trying to decipher Annie's lies is exhausting and overwhelming. The easiest way to get a clear picture is to start at the beginning and go through it step by step. Annie was born Andrea Salijevik on January 4 1985 in Bosnia. She moved to Croatia when she was 5 and possibly spent a couple of years in Germany before moving to Vancouver with her family in July 2002. She graduated high school in 2003 and spent the first couple years out of high school doing a bit of extra work in films, something that is very common and easy to do in Vancouver. She worked 8 hours as an extra in a straight-to-DVD film called Devour and she was an extra in a club scene in the 2004 film White Chicks. I found both scenes she is in and can confirm it is her.

The saying that once something's on the internet it's on there forever isn't true. It's increasingly difficult to find things from ten or fifteen years ago. Websites shut down and take with them their content forever. This makes tracking Annie's online activities in the mid-2000s difficult but we can still piece things together based on what remains. 

Starting from at least 2004, Annie began calling herself Crista Bella and doing amateur BDSM porn. She set up a Myspace at myspace.com/cristabella and in March 2005 set up her own website at cristabella.com where she would post hundreds of nude photos taken by local photographers. It's unclear if the photos were of pornographic sex or just nudity. The website is gone now but multiple people saved it to the Wayback Machine at the time. Here's a screenshot of her website from April 2005. Unfortunately none of the photos or other pages load but you can see she claimed to be a model, actress, and dancer and offered to sell "autographed photos" as if she were famous.

I was able to speak to the person who worked on her website and photoshopped some photos for her, including the two below. They told me that Annie claimed to be a back-up dancer for Madonna at the time. They also photoshopped the geisha photo you will see towards the end of this post.

Later in 2005, she changed her name to Lola Skye and began using multiple Myspace accounts including myspace.com/lolaskye and myspace.com/skyefitsheaven. Here she would post amateur modelling shots and write blogs where she would talk about dating a neo-nazi when she lived in Germany. As Lola she claimed to have only lived in Croatia for 2 years.

You might be wondering why she appears bald in her profile photo. Well, that's because she lied and claimed to have cancer - leukaemia to be exact. This was one of her first big victimhood lies. She photoshopped herself bald and fabricated a cancer awareness campaign called "The Bald & The Beautiful". Even though she claimed to have leukaemia, she used the pink breast cancer ribbon. Sloppy!

Throughout this time, Annie was very active on online forums, particularly Marilyn Manson fan forums. On one board she went by the username "WildChild", another "LolaSkye", and on another she had over 3000 postings under the name "seductress". She claims to have been a mod on one Manson forum. Unfortunately most posts are long gone but we did find two.

She was also very active on forums for The X-Files, Hayden Christensen, Keanu Reeves, and The Matrix (of which she claims she was a mod for four years). According to one comment, she claimed to be dating Keanu Reeves, making this the first documented case of her fabricating a relationship with a celebrity. As you will begin to see, she fabricated relationships with celebrities that she was a big fan of. It's worth noting that the name "Christabella" is a character from the 1997 Keanu Reeves film The Devil's Advocate. 

In order to appear legitimate and raise her profile, she submitted herself to various modelling sites. 

In September 2005, Hayden Christensen was photographed by paparazzi

on a beach in Barbados with a mystery woman.

The photos are blurry and hard to make out but it's possible the woman in the photos is Araba Dell'utri who Hayden was dating that summer

This seems to have given Annie an idea and set the wheels in motion. Annie began creating fake accounts on forums with the sole purpose of spreading the rumor that the woman in the photos was her. In each instance, the accounts 1) only commented about Hayden and Lola before being abandoned and 2) claimed to have seen Hayden and Lola together in person. 

She created the account "NYGal30" on TheFashionSpot and said she saw them together in person on four separate occasions. She advertised the Lola Skye Myspace, relayed messages from Lola, and praised Lola for being "smart and educated". She also made a reference to a Myspace blog Lola made where she talked about being a victim of abuse. Note the use of "my 2 cents"

She then created the account "HaydieCA" on an Italian Hayden Christensen fan forum and said she knew three different people who saw Lola on set with Hayden. Again, she advertised the Lola Skye Mypsace, relayed messages from Lola, and praised her for being "a way better girl than those no-brainers"

She also spread the rumor on Livejournal, JJB, and likely other forums that have since shut down

A comment indicating Annie was spreading the rumor on DH.net too:

In addition, she sent in tips to websites such as Egotastic and Togawp telling them that the woman in the photos was Lola. In the mid-2000s when gossip blogs were a new thing, it was incredibly easy to send in a tip to one and have them post it without any verification whatsoever. 

Eventually all of her hard work began to pay off. By late 2005, the rumors that Hayden Christensen was dating a model named Lola Skye had migrated from forums and blogs to newspapers, magazines, and websites. Entertainment Weekly, Glamour, and E! news were just a few of the outlets that reported on Hayden's new girlfriend.

Off-screen, too, there's some news. The tortured-hero hunk, who has often been very sphinx-like about his private life, has been stepping out more and more with Canadian-German mannequin Lola Skye. The speculation game began when they were spotted re-enacting From Here to Eternity on a beach in Barbados some months back. In recent weeks, the model has been spotted with him in New York. Lola, who's 23, is also a dancer, seeming like a Renaissance lady in the age of iPod. According to what I've heard, the deeply dark beauty not only flies a plane, she also speaks five languages and is a self-confessed "library/museums nerd."

An exert from a "Gold" magazine that was posted on a french Hayden blog: 

Lola Skye: a very pretty young girl who is both courageous, intelligent and generous of German and Canadian origins has won the heart of the most coveted sex symbol of the moment (...)Under Hayden's protective wing, Lola could have taken the opportunity to make a name for herself in modeling. However Lola does not want this life there. Generous, she prefers to devote her time to charitable works and come to the aid of people who are suffering in a way that is as efficient as it is anonymous. For that, she decides to give up her modeling profession in order to work for the United Nations. Speaking fluently 5 languages, she now puts her talent and energy at the service of humanitarian programs. Suffering from leukemia, a blood cancer, she was saved thanks to a fairly unperceived bone grafting ... A very difficult and painful experience during which Hayden was particularly helpful (...)

Annie even made her local paper - The Vancouver Sun

Every time an article would mention Lola, it would result in more hits on her Myspace, raising her popularity. 

In late January 2006, Hayden was photographed with a woman at the airport. 

Like the Barbados photos, it was difficult to see who it was, so Annie again took the opportunity to claim it was her. She emailed Hollywood Tuna posing as a source and told them it was Lola.

Annie seems to not only like attention, but also chaos. She would spread the rumor she was dating Hayden, articles would publish it, which would drive more traffic to her Myspace, where she would then post blogs denying it, and then repost those blogs on forums, in a kind of feedback loop. It made no sense other than to give Annie as much attention and to create as much confusion as possible.

On March 11 2006, Annie got her most exposure yet when she was able to score an interview with the British tabloid News of the World. News of the World shut down in 2011 so their website is gone, but luckily someone copy and pasted the article on a gossip forum at the time so we can still read it today. Here it is in full:

THE beauty dumped by Star Wars hero Hayden Christensen last night revealed how sneaky rival Sienna Miller spelled the kiss of Darth for their love.

Devastated cancer survivor Lola Skye accused the actress of stealing her man, raging: "She knew exactly what Hayden and I meant to each other. 

"I've been very hurt and betrayed by both of them— especially Sienna."

The 21-year-old brunette, who had dated the Darth Vader actor since she was 14, blasted Sienna's behaviour.

"She has a lot of problems," stormed Lola. "She has a messed-up temper and is so erratic. She's just not the sort of person I want to be around."

And in a reference to Sienna's ex Jude Law, Lola said: "I hope she realises that not everyone is responsible for her ex-fiancé's cheating and that she doesn't have to take it out on everyone else." Hayden, 24, supported Lola through years of treatment for leukaemia. Last Septmber he took her to Barbados after she was pronounced "cancer free."

It was as she recovered from a bone marrow transplant to finally cure her illness two months later that Hayden met Sienna, sparking what friends say is a sex-crazed fling.

The two were cast as rock 'n' roll lovers Billy Quinn and Edie Sedgwick in the movie Factory Girl.

Within weeks rumours began to surface that the couple were having an affair, just as Sienna and Jude had done on the set of Alfie.

Lola laughed off the stories—until last week when the News of the World showed her pictures of the two stars together in London.

Sneaking

The model, who lives in Hayden's home town Toronto, visited him in London between February 21 and 26, staying at his flat. But when her back was turned he was seeing Sienna.

And the day Lola flew home to Canada we watched as Hayden met up with Sienna, 24, at 1pm in a busy street, round the corner from her west London home before disappearing into the crowded Portobello Road market. Two days later Christensen was seen sneaking out of the rear exit of Sienna's apartment at 11.30am. An hour after that Sienna left by the same exit. But that afternoon the actor was back at her flat—opening the front door to Sienna's mother Jo and a friend.

Shocked Lola told us: "While I was in London, Hayden kept disappearing. I had no reason to question where he was going. I can't believe that the minute I was gone, he met up with her."

Earlier this week, Lola confronted Christensen about Sienna in Toronto. She revealed: "He broke down and confessed that he had become involved with her. He said that SHE had pushed HIM into it and insisted that it was just a fling."

But just two days ago Hayden was snapped again, snogging Sienna in a car parked near his Toronto home.

A friend of the couple revealed Christensen invited Sienna to join him in the Canadian city to help her overcome an obsession with her Factory Girl character Edie.

Sienna is said to have begun living like out-of-control Edie— not eating properly, getting drunk, sleeping late and swearing. Pals say Christensen could not be more different. "He works out for four hours a day, shuns drink and drugs and hates partying," said one.

He begged Sienna to meet his parents and get help. But friends say the plan backfired. His mother Alie has been frosty to Sienna and his sisters Kaylen and Hesja don't think she is good enough for their brother.

That has sparked a crisis in his family which has made Sienna's behaviour even more hysterical.

Christensen had been juggling Lola and Sienna for two months, largely on the set of Factory Girl in Shreveport, Louisiana. 

Moody

Lola made three visits to the set in January, one to celebrate her 21st birthday with her boyfriend. On January 26 he was pictured passionately kissing newly blonde Lola goodbye at the airport in Louisiana.

Later that day he was holed up in the same hotel suite as Sienna. 

The following day Christensen was pictured out wearing his trademark striped sweater.

Three days after that Sienna stepped out onto the balcony of her suite in the same sweater.

Lola recalled: "Whenever I'd visit Hayden on set, things were absolutely normal between us. I was pretty surprised when I heard all the rumours about him and Sienna.

"We had a discussion about her. He denied being romantically involved with her and I believed him." But Lola started to notice a difference, saying: "Hayden started to change horribly when he was working with Sienna.

"He became very cocky. Sienna was no different. When I was on the set in early January, Sienna's boyfriend at the time, Jude Law, was there to support her.

"Sienna was very moody with him. I wish I could describe how loud Sienna was with Jude.

"I guess Jude was a bit of a b*stard as he'd been cheating on Sienna with his nanny, but no one deserves to be yelled at like that. And, most of all, she wanted him off set during her sex scenes.

"Sienna and Hayden had very graphic sex scenes. It was only later that I connected all the dots."

Lola doubts Sienna's relationship with her man will last. She said: "Hayden has been crying, trying to apologise to me. He has already promised he will stop seeing her. He says it was just ‘a thing.'"

But according to Sienna's close friends the ‘thing' is a compulsive sex habit the pair will find hard to kick. One told us: "Sienna and Hayden are very much involved."

The article was complete fan fiction with Annie as the ultimate victim - a cancer survivor who had been cheated on. None of it was true. Annie didn't live in Toronto, she lived in Vancouver. Annie hadn't been dating Hayden since she was 14, she didn't even know him. And again, Annie was not a cancer survivor. 

Annie once again took to Myspace to refute the article which she then reposted to forums under her fake accounts. 

Since this is the only account you know of I will address this issue here. That tabloid "interview" is entirely fabricated. Go on, believe what you would LIKE to believe. I'm not desperate for dirty money nor would I ever trash anyone who doesn't deserve it. Sienna Miller is highly respected by me and there is no reason for me to not like her. People keep bringing the Hayden issue up, but truth of the matter is I denied being with him - at all. That stays the way it is. So why would I have a problem with it? Of course considering the fact that ya'll passionately hate me and want to see me as low as possible, you'll believe that which suits your line of thought better. I am disgusted by the entire article and it shouldn't be taken more seriously than "Bigfoot stole local woman's purse!" 

The things that are untrue:

Well first of all my age. I dont know how they even got to my new account but it was my test to see if anyone will actually notice and spread it (smart way to know if my account was found basically). Do I really have to scan a freakin photo ID? But thanks to all those who did believe I looked 21. Gawsh...you guys!  😊

Second untrue thing: well regardless of who my last relationship before Bryan was (Bryan is my current boyfriend. He's a young actor I have no reason to hide from the world.) it was me who ended it. I broke off the last 4 relationships I had which is weird. But anyhow, I wasn't dumped by anyone so there would be no reason for me to say so.

Knowing him since I was 14? I didn't move to Canada up until 1999. I was 17 years old when I stepped foot in this country. And I certainly wasn't dating anyone back then because I needed a year to get over my ex from back in Germany. (It's a looooong story). 

Then the most important reason: the article shows me as someone who confessed a million things (untrue things) and I'd never.....ever....do that to anyone who means a lot to me anyhow. Stuff like this ruins friendships and I'm not eager to do that considering the fact that friendships are THE most important things in my life. Without them I'd have no life. I'd be a no one. So to just play around with something like that would be stupid and i wouldn't do it.

Please guys...be smart and don't buy this crap. Just have a good laugh. There's absolutely no hard feelings toward Sienna, especially not Hayden. This is ridiculous.

Even her response was full of lies. She actually was 21 at this time so it made no sense she was pretending to be 24. She arrived in Canada in 2002, not 1999, although that was probably to adjust for adding three years to her age. She was not modelling in Japan. While she now denied she was Hayden's girlfriend, she claimed that they were friends and that he meant a lot to her which was another lie. Note how similar her response is to the sort of stuff she posts nowadays, full of confusing lies and angsty victim-complex ramblings about how everyone hates her and wants to see her as low as possible. She hasn't changed at all in 15 years.

By this point, people had begun to see through her bullshit

A great source for all this early info is a comment on ONTD from 2006 by someone who was tracking what she was up to at the time. This is why it's so important to document everything so it isn't lost to time because she isn't going to stop anytime soon.

Two days after the News of the World article was released, Annie gave a statement to Lainey Gossip, a Canadian gossip blog. The next day, she met Lainey in person in a coffee shop in Vancouver for an exclusive interview. Lainey posted the photo and released the interview the following day. All of the articles are still up on the Lainey Gossip website today. The interview was also featured in an exclusive eTalk segment that aired on television that night.

Annie once again portrayed herself as a victim - this time as the subject of a hurtful, fabricated tabloid article. The interview was unsurprisingly full of lies. Annie again claimed she was 24, said that she was born in Italy, worked for United Nations as a German and Croatian interpreter, and perhaps the biggest lie of all - that "she does not crave the spotlight". The fact that she could show up in person with a journalist and so shamelessly lie to their face about these things is unnerving, and something she would continue to do from then on out.

According to Glamour magazine, she even did television and magazine interviews

Ms Skye categorically denied this story in several TV and magazine interviews at the time of publication and we would like to apologise for any distress caused to the involved parties in this story.

A comment on the JJB forum makes reference to a show Annie appeared on where she discussed her relationship with Hayden, however I'm suspicious this account is Annie

I was unable to find anything but I believe if it is true, the show was likely eTalk where Lainey was a correspondent.

After the interview, "Lola" and Lainey apparently became "friends". Annie told this to people in real life and posted another photo of them together on her Flickr.

Lainey began using Lola as a "source" for information about Hayden. Whenever Lainey would make a post about Hayden, she would claim that her sources were "slam dunk" and "rock solid". Little did she know Annie didn't even know him and it was all a lie. 

The account on the JJB forum that I'm suspicious is Annie was created and its first posts were about Lola and Hayden. It also complimented Lola for being "very smart" and multiple times used the phrase "my 2 cents", which Annie's previous sock accounts did. The account claimed that Lola and Lainey had a professional falling out, which I believe is true, They seemed particularly upset with Lainey, calling her a "backstabbing idiot". The account then went on to attribute all of Lainey's success to Lola saying she was "nothing and no one" before her interview with Lola. It certainly reads like Annie's vindictive narcissism. Did Lainey figure out she was a fraud and drop her?

An account named "holaskye" popped up on the forum and commented only whenever Lola was mentioned. They also used the term "my one cent's worth". Obviously another one of Annie's sock accounts.

Annie was claiming on her Myspace blog in late 2006 that her parents were divorcing, which was another lie for sympathy. 

While the Lola Skye persona appeared to fizzle out after the Lainey Gossip interview, it was reignited again in June 2007 in a shocking interview with Glamour magazine UK. We were able to get scans of the article. Be sure to read the whole thing because it's a doozy. 

The article is a revolting fabrication in which Annie depicts herself as both the victim and the hero. A bullied, infertile two-time cancer survivor who rises above it all to beat cancer, acquire a law degree, become an interpreter for the United Nations, and teach people in Africa about climate change. So inspiring! She even included her mother Selma and brother Boris in the story. She had a print out of the Miss Sixty photo framed in her apartment that one friend saw. 

We reached out to the author of the article who had no idea that the whole thing was a lie

The Glamour magazine article seems to be the last hurrah for Lola Skye. After that, she appears to give up on the persona and begin living a more normal life, or at least we can't seem to find anything else. Her Lola Skye Myspace was still used into 2008 and we can read some of the comments left on her wall thanks to the Wayback Machine. Someone left a comment in late 2007 implying that either she or someone else was in a mental hospital.

We also get a glimpse into Annie's use of sock accounts on social media with "Dionne" who showers Annie in compliments and references Annie paying for her flight to London to celebrate Annie's birthday which she says is January 5th.

Studying the Lola Skye period is interesting because we can see where she began developing her techniques. It's eerie how similar all of this is to what Annie is currently doing. Fabricating relationships with celebrities in order to become famous, utilizing fake accounts to spread her lies, poorly photoshopped pictures, manipulating journalists, and her hero-victim complex. While Lola Skye was done, there was still much more to come.
