Part Three: The Astrophysicist Actress

At the same time she began her lies about Michael Jackson and the Bosnian War, Annie also began lying about her work and school. While she was an extra in a couple of movies in the mid-2000s, she greatly exaggerated her film experience claiming to have worked on over 150 productions as an extra, sometimes with speaking roles, or as a production assistant. 

To go along with her lie that she lived in LA, she pretended to work at 20th Century Fox 

She talked about meeting one of her idols Kate Mulgrew when she worked there

And how much she couldn't stand her asian co-workers 

On her LinkedIn profile she lists work experience at Fox and Universal in Vancouver where they don't exist

Luckily she has a recommendation from someone at Universal named Amanda Johannson

Anyone can create an IMDB profile and submit credits and so Annie did just that, creating a profile for herself and submitting scores of fraudulent film credits.  Here's a screenshot of her profile from 2015. 

Most of her credits were removed for being fake and the remaining ones were labelled "uncredited". While she told people she was an extra, she submitted herself as a production assistant for some reason.

For someone who claims to have worked in the film industry for over 18 years, she doesn't have a single verified credit. Yet somehow she would see her name when she watched these films.

A lot of her IMDB credits don't even make sense. For instance, Gothika was filmed in the spring of 2003 in Quebec, while Annie was still in high school in Vancouver. The Matrix Revolutions was filmed in Australia from 2001-2002, when Annie was busy moving to Canada as a "war refugee". The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King was filmed in New Zealand all the way back in 1999-2000 when Annie was in Croatia, or Germany, or who even knows at this point.  She would often talk about working on these films in real life and online.

She also said she was working on a number of Vancouver-area TV shows like Smallville and Battlestar Galactica while at the same time working on the show The L Word, which filmed in LA. She has a continuous stream of credits based in Vancouver from the early 2000s while also traveling, living, and working all over the world. Oh and being in school full time, but we'll get to that in a bit. This wasn't even all of them. She claimed to work on many other films including Constantine, Jennifer's Body, and Elysium. 

Annie loves to brag about all the celebrities she's worked with. Here's one story from the set of X-Men 3:

She talked about working with Keanu Reeves. I wonder if it came up that they used to date?

 

She often tells one particular story about how Halle Berry stomped on her foot and screamed "Get the fuck out of my way" at poor Annie, almost causing her to quit the industry entirely. But don't worry, Annie got her revenge years later when she got to snub her in a very important business meeting!

She said this happened on the set of Catwoman and was her very first film which contradicts her claims of working on all those other films that predate Catwoman. She said she then went on to work with Halle again on X-Men 2 but X-Men 2 was filmed and came out before Catwoman.

One thing Annie likes to do is attach herself to celebrities who have passed away in order to get attention. Here she is doing that with Heath Ledger, Leonard Nimoy, and Robin Williams. 

Annie was a big fan of the show Supernatural and made a post on ONTD with "exclusive" pics from the set. She said she was an extra in it and her friend took the photos.

People began trying to guess which one was her

Anyway. 

When she told the story a month later on a Star Trek forum, it was no longer a friend who took the pics but some random guy and she took the photos off his website.

Annie also claimed to have been an extra in the 2008 film The X-Files: I Want To Believe and got to work alongside one of her heroes, Gillian Anderson. She said Chris Carter gave her a tour of the set and asked her to be in it and one of the producers invited her to the premiere. I'm not entirely sure if this is true or not because there are pics of her with the cast and crew that appear real, including a photo of her in scrubs for the scene she says she's in, however, she made a number of posts on ONTD about the film at the time of its release and never once mentioned being in it, and she wasn't one to shy away from bragging. 

Her claims that she was in the film didn't start until a year later. She says this is her:

She also said she went to the premiere and the woman on the far right in the sunglasses is her... when it is clearly not.

Fun fact: She told friends that Gillian Anderson stopped her from committing suicide at a party once. It's amazing how she always gets to date or have super personal connections with all these people she idolizes. 

In addition to all those movies, Annie also had time to attend numerous schools and acquire multiple degrees! She started university in 2003 or 2004

She attended Kwantien College in Vancouver for a couple of months. This might be the only one I actually believe.

She did one year in public relations

But then she has a degree in public relations?

She studied Criminal Law

She went to school in England in 2008... the same year she was living in LA. She said she moved back home because her mom was diagnosed with cancer and then later in remission. 

But two years later, she claimed her mom had "no pre-existing conditions" to cause her to worry about her health, and had only had a benign tumor.

This wouldn't be the last time she'd lie about her mom having cancer. She did it again in 2016 in response to a friend losing a loved one to cancer. 

She went to Vancouver Film School and NYU. She says she attended NYU from 2006-2007, the same timeframe she was scamming everyone in Vancouver as Lola Skye. 

She has a degree in Entertainment Business Management and a degree in Entertainment Public Relations. Someone actually checked with Vancouver Film School to see if she had a diploma from there and she didn't (shocking, I know).

She studied film at the Tisch School of Arts at NYU, but also Art & Public Policy (must've been a busy year!) 

But for some reason she attended physics and astronomy lectures there

She acquired an NYU backpack in order to make that lie more believable, another one of her "props"

She referenced going to NYU on Instagram and someone named Brit commented to say that's where they first met

You probably guessed it but Brit is another one of her sock accounts she uses to legitimize her lies. It's one of her longest running accounts and she uses it on multiple platforms including Facebook and Instagram. Brit has zero followers or interactions with other people. She seems to exist solely to compliment Annie or ask her questions that Annie wants to answer. 

So what kind of things does Annie have to say about herself on her sock account?

Humble! 

Her main lie about schooling though was that she studied astrophysics at at the University of British Columbia. She started telling the lie in 2009 and kept it going for years. She would often talk about how hard it was - all the schoolwork, the long hours studying, the exams. She would complain about the sexism she faced from her classmates and teachers and how people would belittle her studies. But there's not a single photo of her on the UBC campus and no one I spoke to ever saw her there either. Here's a few instances of her talking about studying astrophysics:

She said she had to purchase her 70" TV for her "robotics/AI classes", totally not for her movies and video games

She would fabricate schoolwork in a ratty old notebook and post the photos to social media

She created fake accounts of people she pretended to go to school with who would comment on her Facebook and other social media. Here's one of her accounts on Twitter @DonWongUBC (very creative). The account had 4 followers and only a few dozen tweets. 

She said she worked and did internships at observatories 

I guess one was in Arizona

And an internship for three years at TRIUMF, a particle accelerator centre in Vancouver

In a photo album posted to her Flickr, her TRIUMF "internship" suspiciously looks like a guided tour

She appears to have made two separate trips to TRIUMF

She said she wished she had taken a photo of the sign, but then magically has one later that looks suspiciously photoshopped

I reached out to TRIUMF and they confirmed that Annie never did an internship there

So how did she get the photos? Well, TRIUMF offers guided tours. Annie actually went on multiple tours and took photos in order to have "proof" of her internship.

She even claimed that her username "ladyofmachinery" came from her TRIUMF internship 

But on reddit she admitted it just came from some reddit post

All of her hard work paid off and in 2012 after just 3 years Annie graduated! Mysteriously there's not a single photo from her graduation. But she did have a grad party at a friend's apartment with a couple balloons and a cap.

She posed for a photo with her family and her new diploma

You can make out where it says "Bachelor of Science in Astrophysics" and below that "Annie Jackson"

Annie confirms this in a comment on reddit

UBC doesn't actually have an astrophysics program. I checked with a bunch of UBC students and they all told me that the diploma would not state astrophysics on it

On reddit, Annie gets called out on her bullshit from time to time. On one occasion, she told some ridiculous story about a frat party and this guy was not falling for it.

He doubted that she was studying astrophysics and so Annie sent him a photo of her diploma as "proof". He did his research though and found out that UBC doesn't offer an astrophysics degree.

A brand new account called "ladyofthethrowaways" popped up to defend her as well as "--fullmetalbitch--" the same username as her Twitter at the time.

When he called her out for using sock accounts, she resorted to her victim complex and accused him of going "full psycho in PMs"

So he posted their PMs to show she was lying

With no cards left to play, Annie slumped away defeated 

This interaction is Annie in a nutshell. Ridiculous lies, fake documents and sock accounts, and a victim complex. After this, Annie began claiming that her degree is actually a "Bachelors in Astronomy and Physics" and she just says astrophysics because it's easier, despite previously claiming otherwise. This shows how her lies evolve.

Apparently one of her mom's coworkers was dying of cancer and gave Annie a whole bunch of astronomy stuff believing she was actually in school for it. Another person scammed by her lies (if this story is even true).

So what's next for our little astrophysicist? Her masters and doctorate! 

Oh, and she's going to space! 

Despite always talking about how broke and in debt she was, she was still able to save up most of the $20,000 deposit to go into space

She even claimed she was training with NASA
